Description
Gestational diabetes (GDM) occurs when women develop high levels of blood sugar during pregnancy. On average, 4-10% of women are diagnosed with gestational diabetes, and it most commonly is diagnosed around the 24th week of pregnancy. Upon diagnosis, the mom is required to monitor her blood glucose levels at least four times per day for the duration of her pregnancy. Once the baby is delivered, the mom is to continue with her glucose testing to see if the glucose levels decrease and return to normal after the baby is born.
This product package contains everything that a woman would need to begin glucose testing after being diagnosed with gestational diabetes.
